Gausac

Located between Casau and Vielha, Gausac has converted into a residential area appreciated for its beautiful views towards the Vielha Pass as well as its tranquility. Its old town conserves uphill intertwined streets with pretty houses and side fields where the horses graze peacefully. Its church, San Martin de Tours, is a beautiful example of stylistic unity uncommon in the Valley. It has a fortified Gothic tower with grand pointed arch portal which opens its doors to the interior where some interesting Romanesque pieces can be found. From Gausac the Baricauba trail enters the lush forest and later divides into various beautiful routes.
