Montcorbau

Located at 1222 meters in altitude and only 3,5 km from Vielha, Montcorbau has some beautiful views of the Sarraeta mountains and of the Nere Peak. Their snow covered tops contrast with the green landscape of the lush Baricauba forest which can be observed at the end of the valley. Its parrochial church is dedicated to Saint Esteban and despite its Romanesque origins has incorporated over the passing of the centuries the artistic legacy of both the Gothic and Baroque styles. What most stands out for the visitor, however, is the popular interior of the building which reminds us of the Sant Joan church of Boí.
