This idyllic village of Low Aran conserves a notable “urbanistic virginity”, since the large scale urban projects have not misshaped its rustic appearance; thus, one can find many examples of the typical Aranese terraced slate roofs. However, Bausen is also famous for Carlac, its ancient beech trees forest, as well as for its spectacular views above the Toran Valley and above all for its legend which took place at the beginning of the 20th century: The lovers of Bausen.
