Waterfalls

The orography of the valley with hanging cliffs, abundant peaks over 2000 meters, eternal snowfall, and the Atlantic climate with abundant rainfall in an alpine region contribute to the presence of beautiful waterfalls. Many of which can be observed with short foot excursiones or by car.

  • This modest but beautiful waterfall which surprised the visitor at the halfway point of the paved road which takes you to San Juan de Torán after passing the Canejan turn off. It is a sample of many of the waterfalls that there are in the Valley that proceed the hanging valleys from which run streams which drain into the lower waters.

  • The Eyes of the Devel or of Jupiter is a spectacular waterfall and an exceptional phenomenon given that the glacial waters of Anet that disappear in the Forau d´Aigualluts in the valley of Benasque and reappear near the Artiga de Lin in the Val d´Aran after travelling 4 km underground.

  • At the southern mouth of the Vielha tunnel the trail towards the Molières valley begins. The trail concludes at the Molières Peak (Tuc en Aranese) at 3010 meters above sea level. This is the second highest peak in the Valle de Aran. Flora abound on this excursion.

  • Incredible waterfall 12 meters high that is located in a natural enclave of great beauty and which can be reached by car along the pretty paved 12 km long road adjacent to the Varrados river.
