On the weekend of 3 and 4 February the ski resort of Val d’ Aran, Baqueira Beret, will host the 39th edition of the Marxa Beret. The cross-country ski race is the most popular in our country.
The Marxa Beret already brings together more than 1,000 participants in each edition. This event is part of the Circuit of Popular Races of the International Ski Federation (FIS) and the Spanish Cup of Real Federación Española Deportes de Invierno (RFEDI).
Organized by the Conselh Generau d’ Aran, Baqueira Beret and the municipality of Naut Aran, the Marxa Beret is held at Pla de Beret, in the distances of 10,21 and 42 kilometers.
It also has the collaboration of the Associacion Volentaris Val d’ Aran, Foment Torisme Val d’ Aran, Diputació de Lleida, Ayuntamiento de Vielha e Mijaran, Pompièrs d’ Aran, Aran Salut, Mossos d’ Esquadra, INS d’ Aran, in addition to the RFEDI, the Federació Catalana d’ Esports d’ Hivern (FCE).
SPRINT SALOMON
In order to maintain its popular character and once again become the great festival of Nordic skiing, the Marxa Beret organisers propose a series of parallel events. Among them is the Sprint Salomon, which will take place on Saturday 3 in Arties, where you can see the long-distance runners competing in very short distance.
