Betren

The village of Betren borders Vielha with houses and streets that reach the entrance of the old town. Its rustic flavour and the stone houses in the oldest part of the village make it one of the most beautiful villages in the valley. The church dedicated to San Esteban, whose earliest references date back to the 14th century, is a prelude to the Gothic art; it is also a good example of the coexistence between Romanesque and Gothic styles, both in its archictecture and its sculpture.
