Description:

This unique valley provides a magnificent vantage point to take in the Low Arán, crowned by the Pico de Montlude, at 2518 m. The visitor will delight in the utter splendour of nature in the form of the lush fir and black pine forests and beauty spots, such as the Balsa de Arres allow. From Pònt de Arròs, 5 km away from Viella heading towards France along the N-230, you can take the road that climbs up to the village of Arres de Sus (9km). Two forest tracks lead out of the village of Arres de Sus, one that descends to the village of Bossòst and another one that leads up to the Balsa de Arres, via a detour to the Margalida Mine.
