Description

Fantastic mountain bike ride and perfect for gravel bike, which will let us know two of the sunniest towns with the best views in Val d’Aran: Vilamòs and Arres, while riding on roads without traffic and tracks in very good condition. The connection between Bossòst and Pònt d’Arròs follows the Camin Reiau.

Along the way, we will have many options to recover strength in bars and restaurants in any of the many villages we will find, which will also offer possibilities for cultural tourism in the form of ecomuseums (Casa Çò de Joanchiquet in Vilamòs), churches and old quarters.

Description

An easy and short enduro route, ideal to combine with another one in the area, and also to get you started in the world of downhill riding. This singletrail is easy but beautiful, with a succession of slightly sloping curves that will leave us wanting more.

Despite of the green level of difficulty, it is a trail-enduro route, so go equipped and protected. Better to avoid this path in the most crowded months and hours (peak season). It will not be such a pleasant experience and we can put ourselves in danger.

Description

Family loop that will take us to visit some of the villages of Mijaran: from Vielha we will go up to Gausac, and from there by cycle path and the local road to Vilac. The return trip to Vielha, on the other side of the valley, will allow you to try your hand at riding trails. Be aware that there are some slightly more difficult meters where you may need to get off the bike, and always keep in mind that this is a shared footpath with pedestrians, and that they have priority.

This route can be done all year round, as long as there is no snow at the bottom of the valley.

A loop for the whole family that is marked in counterclockwise direction but can also be done in reverse. The gentle slopes and regular terrain make it ideal to enjoy with children. The route allows a quiet visit of the town of Les and its surroundings.

The commercial and cultural offer of Les is numerous. The most important attractions are the Plaça deth Haro, the chapel of San Blai and the Thermal Baths. Another attraction is the Castèth de Les; strolling from the chapel of Sant Blai, we can reach its interesting remains.

Description

The Montgarri loop is perhaps the best known of those that can be done in Aran, and not without reason. You will find high mountain landscapes, pastures full of cows and mares in summer, the Noguera Pallaresa always close and the beauty of the old village of Montgarri and the sanctuary, today converted into a refuge in order to recover energy halfway.

Keep in mind that the return trip is uphill and, on the peak season days, you will find lots of people there, by bike, on foot and also by car on the downhill track.

Nice loop that will take us from Arties to Garòs along the sunny side of the valley and back to the starting point on the shady one, all along forest tracks in good condition and pretty flat. It is perfect to families, as an introduction to cycling tourism, or maybe the day before a more ambitious route to get familiar with mountain bikes.

Description

Enduromies singletrails have quickly become mountain bike classics, not without reason. A comfortable and shady climb along a track between fir trees will easily take us to the plains of Mont-romies. This is where several trails start, the one we propose on this route is known as “Eth Taro”, a fast descent, with steep steps, roots, sharp turns and sections of high speed and flow.

You won’t get enough of it when you get to the trail head, so you can go up again and do Sanglièr (71A).

Description

Fantastic loop that combines high quality enduro trails and incredible scenery. The harshness of the climb will soon be forgotten when pedaling along the path suspended over Valarties, which leads us unevenly to the Camara d’Arties. From this point, a 900 m drop in 5 km of singletrail, largely recovered for enduro.

If you are a keen biker, you can combine this route with the 71A: go back to Montromies by the direct track (70) and end with the Sanglièr, another Aranese jewel.

Description

Crossing the whole north of the Aran valley doing the highest quality enduro riding, on a route with more than 50% of trails and more than 1700 m of drop is what this route offers you.

You will visit the Varradòs pass, the mines and the Liat lakes, the most impressive alpine meadows you can imagine, all to reach the Bedreda singletrack: 7.5 km and a drop of 1300 m in a uninterrupted mountain trail.

This is a linear route. You need to resolve your return to the starting point. You can do this by bus (check timetables), with a bike transfer company or by leaving a car at the Honeria refuge. You can easily extend the route to Canejan, either by road or by adding some more trails, and thus also make the return a little easier.
