Description

A fantastic circular route that links two quite technical and fun descents and allows you to enjoy very good views. The almost 1000 m drop in 25 km is rewarded by about 30% of trails on the descents.

The route crosses Gausach, goes up to Casau along the historical trail and, from there, it follows a long track to its highest point, the Serrat de Pomaròla, where the views are incredible. The first descent of the route is a red singletrack with some tight switchbacks and some steep steps. We will then take the trail to Sarrahèra, passing over the northern entrance of the tunnel, to enjoy another quicker and easier singletrail towards Vielha, where we will whether finish the route or link it with another one to finish the day.

Description

Linear route along the long Pomaròla track, crossing the towns of Gausach and Casau. Between them there is a piece of trail that allows us to avoid the N-230, and that will make us hike our bike on the way up.

The ascent is pleasant, and the views over the mountains of Pòrt de Vielha and the sunny side of Mijaran are truly spectacular.

Description

A route that in just over two hours will take us, through the old Tuca station, to enjoy a technical and exciting descent through the shady fir forests of Betren and Escunhau.

The ascent is comfortable and gradual on a good surface, while the first part of the descent, after a traverse section is very step and technical. Once we cross the Bargadèra track, the difficulty decreases and we can let go of the brakes a bit, until the apotheosic arrival at Escunhau. The return to Vielha is made along the shoulder.

The route can be extended by combining it with the 40A Projekt (red) in the Baricauva sector or the 50A (black) Cataplas in Salient.

A perfect mtb or gravel biking to discover the banks of the river Nere, following quiet tracks with a flat and easy stretch of trail. Quite shady, especially in the morning, which makes it perfect for hot summer days. Be careful when crossing the N-230!

To do a longer trip of the same kind, combine it with route 40 (Bassa d’Oles), to accumulate 45 km and 1500 m of elevation gain, all on quiet asphalt and tracks in good condition.

Description

One of the great Trail-Enduro routes in Aran, hard because of the distance and the altitude gain of the ascent and not because of the difficulty of the descents, which are generally fast and clean although twisty.

If you choose a sunny day you can enjoy incredible views while enjoying the 1300 meters of continuous descent in more than 10 km of fun singletrack, which will take you from the alpine meadows of Cap des Cròdos to Vielha again, exhausted and happy.

Description

Ascending by the itinerary of the mines (route 20) we will enjoy the visit to this historical area of Aran, until we reach the entrance of the Victòria mine track. Here begins the trail-enduro proposal: a descent of 5 km and about 800 m of vertical drop that links the single track of the meadows of Arres with Artigaus trail, to take us from the alpine environment of Bassa d’Arres pond to the bottom of the Garona valley.

These are historic trails, they run through open terrain and are fast and flowy from the pond to the village of Arres, and from the village down the terrain is steeper and wooded and the riding is more technical.

It is especially important to avoid the peak hours of visitors: in the summer months we recommend not to make this descent before 5 pm, especially the upper section where you would coincide with visitors to the Victòria mine.

Description

The route of Margalida and Victoria mines of Baish Aran has the attractions of learning about the mining history of this site of the Pyrenees. In this route we add a new descent along a trail specifically built for the practice of Trail/Enduro as an alternative to the traditional path of Melics, which is reserved for people on foot.

The ascent is done by following the MTB/Gravel route 20, which passes first by the Margalida mine and takes us to Bassa d’Arres, where we can rest, drink water from the source and enjoy the beautiful views of the Aneto. Next, you need to be attentive to the detour towards Mina Victòria, already following the signs for 20B route. Further down from the entrance to Mina Victòria – which can be visited – and past the building that housed the miners, take the signposted deviation of the new path to the right of a curve. The first part of the descent is a trail that combines comfortable sections of flow with more technical sections of tight curves, steep sections and rock and root drops. The second section of the descent that leads us to Bossòst is a little more rocky with a localized difficulty of a rocky drop with exposure that you will have to watch out for.

Description

Fantastic gravel or rally route that visits some of the mines of Baish Aran: Mina Victòria and Mina Margalida. It is marked to make the ascent by gravel road, encountering more asphalt downhill, but it can be done in either direction.

The mining past of Val d’Aran gives cultural richness to this tour, which also visits the village of Arres and provides fantastic views of the northern slope of the Maladeta peaks and Artiga de Lin valley. It is worth taking a short detour when leaving Bassa d’Arres pond and going down to visit Mina Victòria, which has been recovered and adapted for visitors.
