The Conselh Generau d’Aran and Foment Torisme Val d’Aran (FTVA), organize next Wednesday April 19 the first edition of the Net deth Torisme dera Val d’Aran, to be held at the Hotel Montarto in Baqueira.

The night of tourism will begin with the presentation by the conselhèra de Turismo y Desarrollo Económico de Aran, Anna Díaz, of the memory of tourist activity of the Val d’Aran of the year 2016 and the actions developed, as well as the main challenges and actions scheduled for this year 2017.

This new initiative of Foment Torisme Val d’Aran aims to put in value and give visibility to the public and private efforts of the tourism sector as an economic engine of the valley. According to Anna Diaz, “the future is to continue investing efforts in the recognition of the Val d’Aran as a family tourist destination that also bets on sustainable tourism.”

 “Esséncia des Pirenèus” Awards

During the Net deth Torisme dera Val d’Aran the first “Essencia des Pirenèus” awards will be given in the Innovation, Sustainability, Technology, Accessibility and Tourism Experiences, awarded by a jury formed by the technical advisor of Foment Torisme Val d ‘ Aran.

The first edition of the Net deth Torisme dera Val d’Aran, will end with a dinner in the same Hotel Montarto de Baqueira.

“Massi Kuwait Cycling Project”, the UCI Continental cycling team will be presented at the Val d’Aran on Saturday 14 at the Vilagaros Hotel in Baqueira. At the event, which will be attended by some of the runners, coaches and sponsors, will be presented the project for the next 2017 season, as well as the linking of this with Aran, Lleida and its European headquarters in our country.

The team was born a year ago from the long-term collaboration agreement between the bicycle manufacturer Massi, the Cycling Federation of Kuwait and the institutions of the Val d’Aran. With a Kuwaiti license, Massi Kuwait intends to consolidate a powerful team in the coming years with a base in Europe. From the Cycling Club Val d’Aran is intended to take advantage of the good relationship that exists with the cycling Federation of Kuwait, so that Aran is chosen as a place to locate this base.

The forest paths leading to the most emblematic natural sites of the Val d’Aran will be open from Saturday 8 April.

Among these forest tracks there is the access to Artiga de Lin, open in its entirety. The track of Varradòs:is also accessible until Saut deth Pish will remain closed. During the next week is expected to open Aiguamòg to the Baths of Tredòs

Hiking in the Val d’Aran

The best way to discover the natural surroundings of the Val d’Aran is hiking whether walking or cycling, as motocycling, routes by car or even on horseback. The Síndic d’Aran, Carlos Barrera, will open today at 7pm. the exhibition “Impressions dera Val d’Aran” by the artist Maite Ordériz. The event will take place in the Exhibition Hall of the church of Sant Joan d’Arties, which will host the exhibition from Saturday 8 April to May 31.

“Impressions dera Val d’Aran” presents a sample paintings related to the Val d’Aran performed by the Reusense artist. Always attracted by the beauty and expressiveness of nature, Maite Ordériz is a lover of the Val d’Aran, source of inspiration for many of her works. The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 17 to 20h.

This professor of Natural Sciences formed pictorially in the Escola Taller d’Art of the Diputació de Tarragona in Reus experiences the plasticity of the different materials, oils, watercolors and acrylics, as well as the possibilities of form and color as a form of expression. Enthusiastic about travel, she is accustomed to capture part of what she has experienced in her works.

The artist participates in different artistic workshops together with other painters, where she uses various graphic techniques such as engravings and lithographs. His works lead various solo and collective exhibitions.

The Val d’Aran ski resort, Baqueira Beret, presents excellent conditions for skiing at Easter, with many kilometers of skiing and competitions of the highest level.

The ski in Easters is guaranteed  in Baqueira Beret,with maximum thicknesses exceeding 2 meters. If the weather permits, those responsible for the Aranese station plan to open the three areas of Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua with the maximum possible number of kilometers of skiing that in recent weeks has exceeded 130.

The visit-concert Romanic Musicau are coming back in Easters in the Val d’Aran.The formulacombines explanations of the Romanesque churches in the Val d’Aran with classical music concerts. The goal is to bring tourists to the history of Aranese heritage and show the evolution of Valley monuments linked to their customs and traditions.

The activity begins with an audiovisual presentation about the church where it is celebrated, commented by the historian Elisa Ros, an expert in Aranese Romanesque and ends with a concert of classical music. Sponsored by the Conselh Generau d’Aran and Foment de Torisme dera Val d’Aran, with the collaboration of the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs and the Arxiprestat dera Val d’Aran, this free cycle reinforces the program of guided tours to heritage that holds the Conselh Generau d’Aran.

The seventh edition of the Pyrenades festival, which takes place from 8 to 15 April, will offer a complete and entertaining program of free activities for all audiences. During these days on Pyrenees, will be proposed conferences and dialogues, hiking, mountain cinema, music and children’s activities.

The days have their base camp in the Pyrenmuseu of Salardú. It will emphasize the integration between the mountain sport with the debate and the knowledge of this environment. Its essence lies in the demographic movement that began with the exploration of the Pyrenees in the nineteenth century from an adventurous, naturalistic and humanistic perspective that encouraged the birth of the tourism in the place.
The Festival coincides this year with the ISMF World Cup, which will take place in Val d’Aran on 8 and 9 April.
A quality festival
In addition, during the week will be happening other activities, among which stand out talks about the sport of mountain and the competition; Walks through paradisiacal places of the Valley like the lakes of Baciver, the bank of the Unhola or the balcony of the Aneto, in addition to a walking tour by Vielha; The VII Film Festival of mountain, with various projections; And games, Romanic Musicau concerts, workshops for children and mountain initiation courses.

Pyrenades returns to its essence
This year the Pyrenades Festival returns to its essence: the Pyrenees as a cultural and sports movement linked to the Pyrenean society. The conference of Arcadi Castilló, geographer and technician of the Institut per al Desarolupament i Promoció de l’Alt Pirineu i Aran (IDAPA), stands out in this regard. Entertainment for Easter
Since its first edition in 2011, Pyrenades has become an excellent option to enjoy Easter in the Val d’Aran, in contact with nature and enjoying a wide program of free activities. The will of Pyrenades is to energize the municipality of Naut Aran offering activities for the whole family.
Initiative of the Pyrenmuseu of Salardú, the festival is organized jointly with the municipality of Naut Aran and with the support of Torisme Val d’Aran, l’Idapa and the Conselh Generau d’Aran, as well as the collaboration of other entities of the Valley.
